Why Startupdenmark?
I launched Startupdenmark.dk in 2007 after stopping my corporate career and starting as an independent consultant (www.knowledgeworks.dk). It started as hobby and was motivated by a passion for entrepreneurship and the lack of quality comprehensive online resources in English. The first element was a comprehensive list of active venture capitalists. I then started interviewing entrepeneurs, investors and other interesting actors on the Danish entrepreneurship scene. It was by interviewing Martin Bjergegaard of Rainmaking that the idea for Startupbootcamp took shape.
The main Elements
The Startupdenmark network is based on Ning, a flexible social networking tool. Membership is open (though I am ruthless with spammers) and you can contribute your own content.
Interviewing people is the best way I have found to learn about entrepreneurship (along with doing it of course) plus it's a fantastic networking tool.
The resources pages are meant to provide a comprehensive overview of sources of support for would-be entrepreneurs in Denmark. Most of the links to point to English-speaking sites and I try to notify you in case they don't.
