About Alex Farcet

I am the Managing Director of Startupbootcamp, a startup accelerator based in Copenhagen and affiliated with TechStars.  I co-founded Startupbootcamp with Rainmaking, a startup factory with offices in Denmark and London.  I am a business angel (www.Yellowman.dk), I have worked with startups (www.InsilicoMobile.dk), and I am a member of the Danish Venture Capital Association (DVCA) and Connect Denmark. I also coach entrepreneurship students at the Danish Technical University (DTU) and am a guest lecturer at Kaos Pilots.

About Startupdenmark

Startupdenmark is an online resource for anyone interested in entrepreneurship in Denmark. I blog infrequently (see Startupbootcamp for more action) but I interview interesting people on the Danish and Nordic startup scene. The most recent addition to Startupdenmark is a job portal dedicated to startups which recently expanded to cover the nordics and is now hosted as www.nordicstartupjobs.com.

Why Startupdenmark?

I launched Startupdenmark.dk in 2007 after stopping my corporate career and starting as an independent consultant (www.knowledgeworks.dk). It started as hobby and was motivated by a passion for entrepreneurship and the lack of quality comprehensive online resources in English. The first element was a comprehensive list of active venture capitalists. I then started interviewing entrepreneurs, investors and other interesting actors on the Danish entrepreneurship scene. It was by interviewing Martin Bjergegaard of Rainmaking that the idea for Startupbootcamp took shape.
